2 Ingredients to Fight Off Wrinkles

Wrinkles! Love them or hate them, they're bound to show up. As thankful as we are to be blessed to live as long as we can to see wrinkles form, they're quit difficult to accept because it's another reminder that our collagen stores are breaking down. Fueling your body properly is a great way to increase collagen production and slow down wrinkle time. Today we're focusing on 2 ingredients to apply topically that will penetrate deep into your skin and fight off those dreaded wrinkles.

First up... Vitamin C!

Vitamin C is a great antioxidant that offers many skin benefits - brightening our skin, reducing dark spots and hyperpigmentation and reducing premature aging. Vitamin C cannot completely reverse the appearance of wrinkles but it can certainly protect the skin from wrinkles due to sun exposure and environmental damage. Vitamin C also stimulates the growth of collagen as it is a key player in the formation of the triple helix structure. Talk about preventative measures, this one's it! If you want to delay fine lines and wrinkles for as long as possible then add a Vitamin C serum - like our Collagen Revitalizer Serum - into your routine everyday. Incorporating Collagen Revitalizer Serum into your morning skincare routine will provide the antioxidant protection your skin needs to face the day.

Second up... Retinol!

You could have probably guessed this one. Retinol is the holy grail of skincare when it comes to wrinkles. The reason being, as we age it takes longer for our skin cells to regenerate and Retinol speeds up that process. It allows our skin cells to turn over more quickly, in turn allowing for healthier, younger looking skin. Over the counter Retinols is a good place to start. Once you've worked your way up, a Vitamin A prescription will be your best friend.

It's important to note, both ingredients are considered active so you do not want to use them together as it will cause skin irritation. For best results, we recommend using a Vitamin C serum in your AM routine and Retinol in your PM routine.
